Position Summary

Our Risk Consultants are responsible for assessing losses, providing risk improvements to mitigate loss, development of thought leadership, creating risk consulting services and other similar tasks associated with Crawford Risk Consulting.

Our Consultants consolidate existing relationships and work to develop new ones within commercial sectors.

We are looking for Consultants with various technical backgrounds to complement our strategic growth plans – see experience and professional qualifications for more information

 

The role will be home based with regular travel mainly within the UK.

Based on your skills, you will become a specialist in specific industries or risk subject matters.

The role will include supporting ingeneration of pipeline, site visits, providing loss prevention/ mitigation support, driving projects, creating technical guidance and methodologies, creating papers and industry updates and developing new innovative service offerings.

Functional Knowledge

Property – Risk management and loss prevention for Property and Business Interuption risks

Casualty - Risk management and loss prevention for Public and Employee Liability risks and Product liability

General Background, Experience & Professional Qualifications

  • Risk Management qualification / accreditation
  • Relevant professional qualifications
  • Casualty – NEBOSH / IOSH
  • Property – Cert/ Dip CII/ TIFireE
  • Industry backgrounds – fire service, manufacturing, heavy industries, HSE, risk consulting etc
  • Experience – risk consulting or loss prevention -  minimum of 3 years,
  • Background - broker, insurers or from industry

Key Responsibilities

  • This role is key in expanding the value proposition Crawford provides to insurers, brokers and the insured by assessing, measuring and mitigating exposure to loss.
  • Undertake site surveys and produce reports on risks and current control measures.
  • Produce action plans for risk improvement.
  • Support and develop risk management programmes for clients
  • Develop stewardship reports in line with client and market needs
  • Become a subject matter expert on core industries or risk topics
  • Create technical guidance and methodologies
  • Develop industry updates and technical insight
  • Support in building new innovative data led service propositions.
  • Work within multi-disciplinary teams to deliver scope of work in line with budgetary, compliance and technical controls.
  • Assist with proposal and bid development.
  • Compile case studies and loss lessons for thought leadership
